This scholarship will help students interested in the ARTs, to be able to train and dance with the African American Dance Ensemble and learn the nuances of TRADITIONAL African Dance.

YEAR IN REVIEW
The African American Community Collaborative dba African American Dance Ensemble has been instrumental in the community this year. With our working with the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge, The Durham Police Department, The Durham Sheriff’s Office and City and County Government to hold a STAND 4 Durham Event against violence.
We have worked with African American Covid Team+ to set up Vaccination clinics in the African American Community, we have been instrumental in setting up COVID Panels with AACT+ to educate our community.
We have continued to dance and perform to help our community stay in shape and keep healthy during these unprecedented times. Partnering with organizations and giving our time to sit on committees for the Homeless and using our time and energies to educate and entertain. We are community! We celebrate and we promote Peace in our our State, Love for our fellow man and Respect for all Cultures and peoples.
Our youth are not only our future, They are our today!! And as they begin to take the helm and lead us into a new spectrum of Love and Harmony, We invite you too join us!

Your can choose to support the different activities and parts of the African American Dance Ensemble, But know this, your funds help to keep KWANZZAFEST a free production. It will pay for training and empowering youths in the Arts, Cultural Awareness and Celebration through our OUTREACH. It will also help us to keep “EDUtaining” by the use of traditional dances and songs.
