The African American Dance Ensemble, also known as AADE, is a 501 C (3) Nonprofit. Our mission is to preserve and share the finest traditions of African and African American Dance and Music through research, education performance, and entertainment; to focus on the health and education of our communities. Our purpose is to help our youth become more active through dance and the arts. Kwanzaa Fest is a community-wide celebration of culture and collective call for unity, peace, and harmony in the New Year.
Kwanzaa is a celebration for ALL people, focusing on family, friends, and the fruits of the earth. Celebrating the holiday season and Triangle’s diversity, AADE’s annual Kwanzaa celebration is a time to enjoy family, community, and culture. Kwanzaa is a celebration of family, community, and culture, centered on seven basic values as building blocks for peace and progress within neighborhoods. This year the African American Dance Ensemble will host two days of Kwanzaa.
